| Bud Philbrook, Co-founder and CEO: Bud practiced business and government law in private practice for 12 years while overseeing the development of the organization. In 1994, he closed his law firm to become the full-time president and CEO. Before law school, Bud was an assistant director of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and served in the Minnesota State Legislature. | Michele Gran, Co-founder and Senior Vice President: Michele manages the organization's marketing communications programs. She has a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies/International Communications and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Before joining the staff in 1990, she served non-profit clients as a public relations consultant while raising her three children. She also worked as an account manager at a Twin Cities-based public relations and advertising firm, as an event organizer for the United Way, and for three departments in Minnesota State Government. Bonnie Christensen, Vice President for Finance: Bonnie manages all financial aspects of Global Volunteers including department budgets, monthly budget reviews, our yearly audit and fiscal reports as well as acting as a liason with Global Volunteer's audit committee. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Summa cum Laude, with a BS in Accounting.

Don Szurek, MIS Director: Don manages all aspects of Global Volunteers' international computer, internet and telecommunications technology. He employes his extensive expertise in process reengineering and information technology to continually upgrade and improve our communications in the field as well as our online efficiency and service to our volunteers.

Stela Osmancevic, Executive Assistant to the President
Born and raised in Bosnia, Stela moved to the United States at the age of 14. She has a Bachelor' Degree in Global Studies and a Master's Degree in International Peace Studies from the University for Peace in Costa Rica. She has lived and traveled extensively around Europe and Central and South America. |
