I am the second born. During my early childhood I helped my parents take of care of their cows. At the age of ten, I began standard at Kimala Primary School where I graduated standard 7 in 1975. In 1996 I was selected to joing Kantalamba Secondary School: Rukwa region Southern Tanzania. In 1979 I completed my form four studies and passed well. Then, between 1980 and 1982 I attended advanced Secondary education at Mzumbe Morogoro region Eastern Tanzania and did well in my studies, there as well. In 1983 I attended National Service Course where I learned not only millitary skills but also life skills such as masons carpentry and gardening. This was in lake Victoria Region. In 1984 and 1985 I was employed as a form 6 secondary teacher at Masasi girls secondary. In May 1985 I was selected to join University of Dar es Salaam to study B.A. (ED) for 3 1/2 years. In September 1988 I graduated in this higher learning institution in the country where I was awarded B.A (ED) HONS. Between October 1988 and February 1989 I taught in Mbeya region a Baptist Secondary Southern Highlands of Tanzania. From February 10, 1989 todate I was employed by ELCT Iringa Diocese as a teacher, then I became a principal at Pommern Secondary then Mtera Secondary todate. My father died in 1996. It was the same year that I got married to Wema. In 2002 I was employed by global Volunteers based in MN - U.S.A as a country manager for Tanzania. I am responsible for taking care of the volunteers while they are in my country. I have attended team leading training organized by globel Volunteers in MN - U.S.A AND SPAIN 2002,2003, 2004. In my life I had a chance to visit Zambia 1977 for sports, Germany 1992 as a Church representative during the early days of Iringa Diocese. Iam married with one daughter who is in Primary School and my wife who is a homemother.My daughters name is Judtih We have a small house in Pommern where we do gardening for extra income. My hobbies are sports especially soccer, volleyball, music travelling and reading newspapers. From the experience that I gained from working in the church as a teacher and then as country manager for Global Volunteers is enough to say umoja ni nguvu na utengano ni udhaifu. That means "Thank you Bud CEO, and Michele for having this wonderful of volunteerism and partinership that has made it possible for people all over the world to come and share experience as sisters and brothers of the same. A saying I like is: "Umoja mi nguvu utengano ni udhaifu" |
