Children and their families are the central focus of Global Volunteers service programs around the world.

For over two decades, we've responded to the needs of at-risk children in our host communities through direct service and project funding. Committed volunteers donate funds for food, clothing, books, medical check-ups and the like through special appeals. In response to our volunteers' desire to support host community children when they returned home, we inaugurated the Child and Classroom Sponsorship Program in 2004. Working closely with our host partners, the Sponsorship Program ensures equitable contributions to all children through yearly planning and monthly accountability. Your child sponsorship pledge or one-time project contribution provides for these needs with the added assurrance that your tax-deductible donation is wisely used.
